When I was given the opportunity to make a book about my art; I realized the books I like the most are those where you get to know the artist and can see how ideas develop from the first sketches to the final piece. These sketches often are more open to interpretation and can trigger more ideas than a finished piece of art but the combination of sketches and final artworks gives a better insight in the artist‘s mind. In this book I choose to focus on the continuous change and evolution of my art because it is an essential part of who I am. The need to discover something new and surprise myself is the reason why I pick up a pencil, a pen or whatever I can find. The result is a book that reads like a travel diary, exploring where I‘ve been and where I might go, but NOW I‘M HERE.
