Some street art exists solely for its own sake, an artists vision realized in the public space that can be embraced or rejected according to ones own personal tastes. Other street art is created expressly to challenge the viewer, asking one to question long held beliefs whether in authority or societal values. The mysterious artist behind the CRYPTIK Movement has written an even tougher brief question reality! A call to awareness, his work explores the nature of belief, with iconography drawn from numerous philosophies and traditions including Buddhism and Hinduism. Not espousing just one belief system, his art seeks to bring us all together through our shared humanity as we strive to understand the world around us, and the nature of life. The elevation of consciousness - artistic and otherwise - is within our grasp.
