Content

This is a stunning collection of works that celebrate the vitality and diversity of urban and hip-hop culture. This new addition to the critically acclaimed "36 Chambers" series brings together a unique collection of works from one of the most celebrated husband and wife teams in contemporary art. JonOne is a Dominican artist who grew up in New York, where he developed his signature style among the burgeoning graffiti and street art scene in Harlem. Mai Lucas is a hugely successful photographer, best known for her striking portraits that epitomise alternative, urban, and hip-hop culture. Together, JonOne and Mai have been drawing inspiration from youth culture across the globe to create stunning works that capture the very essence, vitality, and diversity of the people they meet. The title of the series is inspired by the classic martial arts movie "Enter the 36 Chambers of Shaolin" the story of which inspired the debut album by Wu-Tang Clan. "Drago plan 36" titles in the series the creative brief of which is that artists may only use black and white and a single colour of their choice.
