Roskilde Festival is the largest music and art festival in Northern Europe. We are also one of the oldest, taking place annually since 1971. Each year, more than 30,000 volunteers make Roskilde Festival a week-long celebration of freedom, self-expression, togetherness and community. We are 100 % non-profit and after each festival, we donate all profits to charitable and cultural purposes.

 

Deeply rooted in these ideals is our very own graffiti community. The Roskilde Festival graffiti project was established in 1999 as a platform for the emerging graffiti community. The project has hosted some of the world’s best graffiti writers, street artists and muralists. They live and paint together for a week, pushing the boundaries of graffiti and street art into unexplored territories.

 

Over the years, more than 1,500 artists have painted more than 20,000 metres of walls while more than 10,000 festival-goers have tested their painting skills at the graffiti workshop.
